Chris Isaak is an American actor and rock musician. He was born on June 26, 1956, and his current age is 60. The youngest among his three brothers, he is from Stockton, California. His mother, Dorothy worked in a potato chip factory and his father, Joe Isaak, was a forklift driver. Chris gained his mixed ethnicity from his German Catholic mother and Italian-American father.
Isaak attended Amos Alonzo Stagg School in North Stockton and graduated in the year, 1974. He, then, attended a local college, San Joaquin Delta College, before transferring to the University of Pacific. He graduated with a bachelor’s degree in communications in 1981. Let’s know more about him here!
Starting in 2001, Chris started his acting career and became the lead in a sitcom for the Showtime network that was loosely based on a performer’s life. In The Chris Isaak Show, the blue-eyed singer charmed the audiences with a humorous, offbeat take on a rock star’s life. There’s a lot more to learn about his life before acting!
Chris and his fame
Music was Chris’s fascination. He borrowed a guitar from his brother and taught himself to play. He had already started writing songs as a teenager. He found early inspiration from country musician, Hank Williams, who his father liked to listen to on the radio.
Chris started out as a solo artist, but in the early 1980s, he formed a rockabilly-influenced group called Silvertone. Their early days were quite challenging as Isaak and the group had to play bar to bar and club to club to make their name.
Isaak caught the attention of producer, Eric Jacobson, best known for his work in the ’60s with Lovin’ Spoonful, Tim Harding, and Norman Greenbaum. With Jacob’s help, Isaak scored a recording contract with Warner Bros. Records. Isaak introduced his debut album ‘Silvertone’ in 1985, which got critically praised, earned raves reviews and became a major hit in some international markets.
Isaak, along with his band members, established a reputation as a crowd-pleasing live performer. The singer’s sophomore effort, single album ‘Chris Isaak’ was certified gold in the United States and became a substantial hit overseas once again. He made world tours. Around that time, he got the chance to meet various popular artists and one of his influences, the legendary Roy Orbison.

A musician and an actor, Isaak has an estimated net worth of $21 million dollars. The net worth may come as a surprise as Isaak is not a ubiquitous pop culture figure in today’s date. But due to his music being featured in movies like ‘Bombay Velvet’ and ‘Eyes Wide Shut’ and his continued success as a musician on tour and in the studio, it couldn’t come as a surprise at all.
Is Isaak in a relationship?
Isaak is still single with no wife and obviously, no divorce and children. His dating life has been in the limelight since the article ‘Don’t play wicked game ladies, Chris Isaak is looking for true love’ was written about him.
