Clarence Anicholas Clemons, Jr., also known by his nickname The Big Man, was an American musician/ saxophonist, and an actor. He was born on the 11th of January, 1942 and his death occurred in the June of 2011, when he was 69 years old. Clarence was born in Norfolk County, Virginia, United States of America in a middle class family as the son of father Clarence Clemons, Sr. an owner of a fish market, and his wife Thelma, who was a homemaker. He was born as the eldest of thee children and was introduced to music through gospel music, which his grandfather often sang and listened to, as he was a Southern Baptist. At the age of 9, he received his first saxophone, which was gifted by his father, and he also paid for his lessons. A fast learner, he grabbed the tunes fast and could soon play smooth and simple music. After joining high school, he was included in the school’s jazz band. He was inspired by his uncle to play more, after he gifted him a King Curtis album. He was an American by nationality and belonged to black ethnicity.
