Connie Chung was born as Constance Yu-Hwa Chung Povich on the 20th of August, 1946 (her current age is 70 years old) in Washington, D.C., United States of America.

She was born as the youngest of 10 children to a Chinese immigrant couple. Her father William Ling Chung worked in the intelligence department of the Chinese Government, and her mother was a homemaker.

From early childhood, she had a deep interest in weather conditions and always wanted to become a Meteorologist. She attended the Montgomery Blair High School in Maryland, where she learned dancing as well.

After graduating in 1969, she went to study journalism at the University of Maryland, College Park. 

She was born in a Buddhist family and followed the same, until her marriage after which she changed her religion to Judaism.

Born in America, she is an American by nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.

Connie is not a very tall woman. Her height is only a 155 cm (1.55m), which is about 5 feet and 1 inch roughly. Her last recorded weight was around 51 kg approx., which is a little more for someone her physique.

She has got naturally small black eyes, and her hair color is black too. She is not regarded charming, but her gentle character and friendly nature have made her very loveable.

She has not been pregnant till date but still has an adopted son named Matthew Jay Povich in 1995. She lives with her husband, and it looks like their successful relationship isn’t going to be ruined by a divorce anytime soon. The couple does not have any other children.

She started her career with CBS doing Evening News, during the early 70s. Then she was transferred to California, LA where she worked for KNXT, which was also on CBS.

She was famous for hosting the Connie Chung Tonight show, which made her good money. Working there, she earned a lot of praise and appreciation for the work she did and the episodes that she covered.

After CNN, she joined ABC where she hosted the show named Good Morning America. After her marriage, she alongside her husband jointly hosted the show Weekends with Maury and Connie from the January of 2006.

She has also covered some very big stories like the Iraq War, the influence of weed (Marijuana) on American society and has also conducted interviews with some big personnel like politician Kathleen Gingrich and tennis player Martina Navratilova.

Apart from her newscast and shows, she is also involved in teaching and had written papers on The Business of Getting. She teaches at Kennedy School of Government at Harvard University.
