James Garner was born as James Scott Bumgarner; on the 7th of April, 1928 and died on the 19th of July, 2014, at the age of 86.
He was an American actor, singer, producer and comedian who was born in Norman, Oklahoma, the United States of America into a middle-class family.
Born as the youngest of three children, his father Weldon Warren Bumgarner worked in a carpet store and his mother Mildred Scott was a housewife.
After his mother had died when he was only 5, the kids were sent to live with their relatives and only saw their father in 1934, when he had married another woman.
But his stepmother was not a good person, and he said that she would beat all the three boys. After having a heated argument with his father about it, after which he divorced the woman and went to live in Los Angeles with his sons.
Towards the end of Second World War, he joined and served the United States Merchant Marine, although he suffered seasickness.
After he had quit the service, he relocated to L.A and acceded to the Hollywood High School, where he became very popular.
When asked about his official degree, he said in an interview, “I was a terrible student and me never actually graduated from high school, but I got my diploma in the Army.” Born and raised in the US, he is an American by nationality and belongs to white ethnicity.
James was a tall man, and he had a very good height. Measuring about an 188 cm, which is about 6 feet and 2 inches tall, he had a very well shaped body as he had joined the gym ay Hollywood High. He was first suggested by his gym teacher to try modeling as he was a good looking person, who had charms and flair.
With his thick black hair and small brown eyes, he was known to have a very lovely smile. Although there is a high search for his shirtless pictures on the media, there seem to be none available. He was a person who liked to live a healthy life, eat healthily and rest properly.
That is the reason why he lived for a long time, although he later developed a heart condition, which became the reason for his death.
He was found lying at his home, on the 19th of July, 2014 and was rushed to the nearby hospital by the police force.
But he could not be saved, and the news of his death spread like a viral disease, with so many of his fans pouring down to give him their last tribute.
Regarding his dating life, he has been with two women and had an affair with another one. He was first in a relationship with actress Gloria Pall, between 1950 and 1955 and they separated without marriage.
The couple had one daughter, though, named Kimberly Garner who lived with her mother. Then in 1956, he was married to Lois Josephine Fleischman Clarke and lived with her until his death.
Their love affair started with a regular 14 nights out at dinner which James described as “We went to dinner every night for 14 nights. I was just absolutely nuts about her. I spent $77 on our honeymoon, and it about broke me.”
With just one daughter between them; Gigi Garner, they did not get divorced although, were separated by life. He didn’t have any other children and was shortly involved in a romantic affair with his girlfriend, Lauren Bacall. He was not a gay, sexually; and there weren’t any rumors about it as well.
