Sir Peter Robert Jackson, born on October 31, 1961, is a super talented New Zealand film director, screenwriter, and producer. He has produced and directed many outstanding movies over the years.
He has a very talented mind and has won Best Director award in 2003. He is also recently awarded a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame.

He made a WWII epic named as The Dwarf Patrol which had a special effect of poking pinholes in the film for gunshots. He also made a James Bond spoof named Coldfinger.
His 20-minute short movie called The Valley won him a special prize because of the shots he used. He had no interest in sports, and he always wore a duffle coat with an obsession verging on religious.
He learned about editing, special effects, and make-up but had no training in filmmaking. He discovered the work of author J R R Tolkien after watching the movie The Lord of the Rings.
His debut film was Bad Taste which had his friends acting for free. The film sold quickly in about 12 countries and Peter started writing scripts for other movies. His second movie was Meet the Feebles.
He also made the remake of The Dambusters. His other movies works include Heavenly Creatures, The Frighteners, The Lovely Bones, The Hobbit, etc.
He won many awards in his career and was given the title “Sir” in front of his name for the honor of his works in the Hollywood industry. Most of his awards were from the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit cameo.
