Wendy’s journey of facing cancer
“I can accept that I have cancer. What I can’t accept is that it’s so common.” – Wendy Mesley
It was long ago when Wendy got diagnosed with cancer and that was the least expected thing to happen to her. Wendy never thought or ever dreamt that she could ever have cancer. But life happens when you are focusing on some other things and things happen out of your expectations. Without any family history of cancer, Wendy got it like a surprise occurrence.
But suddenly there was a lump discovered in her left breast, she ignored it for quite a time and then tests lead to the discovery. Initially, all the tests had resulted negative but after her husband’s insisting, she went for a biopsy. Later it was diagnosed with lumpectomy and had to go through an aggressive chemotherapy. Sooner or later she had to be serious about her health.
